Arborite is introducing the second edition of its innovative INK series of designer laminates. INK draws on the talents of designers of all industries, ranging from graphics to interiors to art and architecture, to create dynamic designs truly unique to the laminate world. The latest patterns added to the INK collection come from the minds of graphic designer Giona Maiarelli, founder of Maiarelli Studio, and interior designer/illustrator Marina Sagona, co-founder of interior design company Less&More. Drawing inspiration from such diverse ideas as astrology and mid-century modern trends, the two creatives developed four ideas each for a total of eight fresh and energetic patterns that encompass Arborite’s outside- the-box approach to a classic material.

Building on the company’s reputation as a premier design brand, the collection features 25 unique patterns that are right in step with today’s top design trends including: industrial chic; soft, tactile effects; muted tones; bright colors; and contemporary wood looks. As with all of Arborite’s high-pressure laminates, patterns from the 2014 Collection are available in a selection of Standard and Premium textures, offering versatile surfacing solutions to the architecture and design community for a range of interior applications.

In response to a demand for genuine rare wood, Montreal-based laminate manufacturer Arborite has released Teak, Afromosia, Rosewood, and Macassar patterns as part of its Woodgrain Collection. Each variation provides a strikingly authentic resemblance to real wood texture while maintaining the affordability and utility of laminate.
